She is currently working as a dancer and choreographer, and has participated in a number of choreographies for theatre productions of the South Bohemian Theatre, Vila Štvanice Theatre, DISK Theatre, NoD Theatre and Plzeň's South Suburbs Theatre.

About the show

How long will it take for us to get to the point as well,
where solitude is the only way to not commit seppuku?

*seppuku = ritual suicide of Japanese samurai, known in Europe as harakiri**
**harakiri = a somewhat vulgar variant of the word seppuku, which a samurai would never use

Loveless is the third dance solo of choreographer and dancer Kamila Mottlová and her several
choreographic work with a single dancer on stage. Work in progress
solo project by Kamila Mottlová deals with the Japanese phenomenon of "hikikomori" (breaking away).

According to the Japanese psychologist, Tamaki Saito, a hikikomori is a person who voluntarily chooses
to shut himself off from society. He isolates himself at home, in his room, and refuses any physical contact with the outside world.
the outside world for up to several years. There are currently estimated to be at least one million in Japan,
but more likely many more such cases.

Drama Studio Ústí nad Labem - Black Ambulance

Drama Studio Ústí nad Labem - Black Ambulance

Sunday 11.7.2021 19:30 / Výstaviště Praha 🕘 60 minutes 👨👨👦 13+ !

About the ensemble

The Drama Studio of Ústí nad Labem is a progressive theatre scene with a forty-nine year history. Throughout its history, it has emphasized the free creative spirit and clung to apolitical artistic production. The drama studio has nurtured a wide generation of actors and creators who have always been proud to join the stage in Ústí nad Labem.

About the show

Party, love, vacation, kidnapping. Three friends meet in their hometown of Ústí nad Labem after the weirdest academic year they've ever had. Finally, the summer without distance learning begins, music throbs in the air, ecstasy sews through the body and kids are kidnapped from the surrounding housing estates. Is there still a witch on Marianas Rock? What happened in Moses? And where the hell is Peter?!

A black teen comedy flying by at a faster-than-maximum delivery speed, the production's only set design is loosely inspired by horror stories from Petr Janeček's popular book Black Ambulance. (www.cernasanitka.cz)

Divadlo Drak - And to the third time of everything...

Thursday 8.7.2021 17:00 / Výstaviště Praha 🕘 50 minutes 👨👨👦👦 3+

About the ensemble

The Drak Theatre is a local theatre in Hradec Králové, whose work has been based from the beginning not only on the tradition of (East) Czech puppetry, but also on the principle of original authorial creation for children and adults based on imagination and novel inventiveness. Throughout its history, it has often pioneered new methods and creative approaches and has won numerous awards in this country and abroad. A proud heir to the legacy of the travelling puppeteers, during its sixty years of existence, the productions of The Dragon have been seen by audiences in more than 650 towns and cities in 38 different countries on five continents (Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America). These countries have a combined population of 1 571 275 000, representing about 21 % of the world's population, and speak 34 different official languages. They have a total area of approximately 59 425 774 km, about 12% of the Earth's surface, or about 40% of the Earth's land mass. The total sum of the distances of their main cities from Hradec Králové is 119 155 km, i.e. roughly three times the length of the equator or 200 000 times more than the distance between the Drak Theatre and the theatre hostel in Tomkova Street or the Na Hradě restaurant.

Web: draktheatre.cz/

About the show

After trips among the Indians or to the circus menagerie, the Drak Theatre turns back to folk classics. In the production And to the third of all... you will learn that there are no wedding cakes without work, that those who over-indulge their children risk being eaten by them, and that it really, really doesn't pay to steal. The wisdom and charm of classic fairy tales are combined with the magic of puppet theatre, the romance of old music boxes and the irreplaceable energy of live music. The production And to the Third of Everything... is intended for the youngest audience members and is based on classic fairy tales as recorded by Karel Jaromír Erben, Božena Němcová and others. It takes inspiration from the famous tradition of folk puppet and fairground theatre or the phenomenon of the crammer's song and seeks new, contemporary means of expression for them. The three stories, in which the magic three play a triple role, will be told in the same way as folk puppeteers have done for centuries. And yet differently...

About the show

The trip is a race whose main prize is the experience. In that respect, these men are the best of the best racers - true champions. Even greater than they think themselves. Two cross-country skiers, lost in the map and the season, side by side and yet on the same trail, undertake a cross-country odyssey - a vicious journey with an unclear end and course! Poles up, wax for the moustache, tea for courage and step sun step!

The performance "Running Odyssey" draws on the Brothers in Trick's years of experience in the field of street theatre. The troupe's traditionally strong domain is self-irony, juggling, object manipulation, spare acrobatics and affectionate humour. Audiences will be mentally and physically drawn into the action no matter what. No clue? Never mind, this show is no classic!

As the popular German saying goes, "LANGLÄUFER LEBEN LÄNGER" - "cross-country skiers live longer"! Laughter and humour are said to add years too. So discover the elixir of immortality with this performance!

Balaton 1982

Balaton 1982

Čtvrtek 14.7.2022 20:00 /Výstaviště, Pátek 15.7.2022 18:00 /Mariánské nám., Sobota 16. 7. 2022 20:00 /Výstaviště 🕘 40 min

"Mariánské náměstí is an open space dedicated to non-commercial art that will support the community life of not only the residents, but also the people who work there, who happen to pass by."

About the ensemble

The Balaton 1982 project will not only be a pair of actors on a pedalo, but also a small historical excursion into the uniform, music and fashion of the 1980s. The journey to the sea in the West was an unattainable goal for the vast majority of the inhabitants of the Warsaw Pact countries. The project is meant to be a reflection of our society in a period of transition, a kind of satirical theatre that promotes critical thinking, spreads civic values and wants to remind that freedom and democracy are not a given. All through contemporary artistic language and through humour that will be attractive to younger generations.

The production is co-produced by artists from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. We think it is extremely important to create and entertain with live art that comes to people, but also has an added artistic and civic value.

About the show

Welcome to 1982. Lake Balaton is a paradise for holidaymakers from Eastern Bloc countries and its murky waters are supposed to be a substitute for the ocean for people from socialist countries.
A little satirical excursion into the uniform times, music and fashion of the eighties. The waterwheel rides the waves of humor and situational gags.

Interactive non-verbal street theatre with a bit of nostalgia and satire. The times are strange, but we have to live. Nekem and Balaton and Riviera !

Music by Pavol Hubinák
