About the ensemble

Barada Street is a ukulele-playing comedy duo that performs seemingly effortless but actually very challenging acrobatic stunts, sings and constantly involves the audience. Every element of their show is impressive and Richard and Uri handle everything with real charm and virtuosity.

About the show

A suave English idiot and a strongman from Kyrgyzstan create the world of wonder that is Barada Street. A riveting comedy packed with acrobatics, live music and cheeky idiocy.
This award-winning international duo captivate audiences and bring a warm intimacy to the street and stage.

Richard a (trained Gaulier) actor from the UK and Juri an acrobat from Kyrgyzstan met on the road with a cycling circus. Where together they created their first ever act, a classic tale of a half-naked muscleman and a skinny hero who saves the day.

In 2013, they formed Barada Street, playing and developing in the cities they passed through as they crossed the Alps, and have been performing and touring all over the world ever since.

Their hit show was awarded the People's Choice Award at the Veveys Artist du la Rue Festival (2014), Lenzburger Gaukler Festival (2015), 3rd Prize Braunschweig buskers (2017) and 2nd Prize Vevey Artist du la Rue 25th Special Edition (2017)
