Prague Street Theatre Festival Behind the Doorhas been a dream come true since 2008.

Street theatre is an ancient, real, actual, free form of theatre art. Artist and spectator are as close as possible in their dialogue. The theatrical language is universal, extremely rich and uses the language of drama, new circus, dance and film.The imagination of the creator and the means of expression have no limits of a closed space.The audience experience is individualized and direct.The stage and auditorium can be a street, a park, a square, a garden or an industrial space.Boundaries are almost non-existent.The aim is dialogue and a sense of shared experience.
That's why we are here and hopefully will be in the years to come, why we travel around the world and with colleagues from other festivals select the best we can show. That's why we initiate new Czech projects, which then go on the road from us again.
