About the ensemble

Holektiv was officially founded in 2016, when Andrea Vykysala (now Benková), Eva Stara and Karolina Křížková were united by the desire to create together. Thanks to this meeting, a purely female ensemble was created on the Czech cultural scene. The name of the ensemble itself refers to this - a collective of girls/women.

The company combines the genre of physical theatre, dance and new circus. Over the years, the company has managed to create its own unique signature and poetics.

The ensemble is active on the Czech and international scene and, in addition to choreographic and performing activities, it also teaches dance and new circus.

About the show

Take a peek under the curtain of the ballet world.

How many layers does one white skirt have?
Become a pupil of our Toe Lesson, where humour creeps in under the strict ballet baton.

We'll unlock the magic of classical dance.
One afternoon, one lesson behind a white window, an unprecedented spectacle.
Order and order is the name of the game and the dancer's body must obey like clockwork. But what if our room doesn't play to the ballet notes? The question is who's on top and who's topping who...
The tipping lesson combines the technique of classical dance (ballet) with paired acrobatics and grotesque with ease.

The performance includes a workshop, where the audience has the opportunity to experience a nutritious ballet training on their own body.

The lesson will begin at the barre with basic ballet training - preparation for "real" ballet. We will go through foot positions, try plie, releve and tendu, and port de bras - graceful handwork. There may even be some muscle cramps while practicing the famous adagio. We will then combine our skills and finish with a graceful ballet bow.
All in a fun way and with the least possible consequences.
("Dreams of floating on your tiptoes, no tiptoes will stop you." :D)
