About the ensemble
Holektiv was officially founded in 2016, when Andrea Vykysala (now Benková), Eva Stara and Karolina Křížková were united by the desire to create together. Thanks to this meeting, a purely female ensemble was created on the Czech cultural scene. The name of the ensemble itself refers to this - a collective of girls/women.
Eva Stará:
Dancer, performer, acrobat and choreographer. She studied dance at the Duncan Centre Conservatory and continued her movement training at the Department of Non-Verbal Theatre at HAMU in Prague. She has collaborated with companies such as Spitfire Company, Tantehorse, Burki&com, and on performances by TS Light Studio and FysioART. She has worked with directors such as R. Magro, D. Gulko, M. Forman, Š. Pácl and others. As a teacher she works in Dance Studio Light and Choceň Elementary School. In workshops he teaches contemporary dance techniques, pair acrobatics and improvisation. In his own work he tries to combine new circus, dance and theatre.

Be yourself! You know what I mean?
How many masks do we try before we find ourselves? And do you love your face? One ego, one MC and you. An energetic street show attacking the search for the self in today's virtual world.
MASS is meat, but also mass. In its original meaning as a moment of connection and knowledge. MASS.K works with masks as attributes, tools for transforming our own identity into forms that are our own or that we want to hide behind. It is a project that uncovers hidden desires, inner moments and taboos. The "K" in its essence represents the abbreviation OK (All Correct), but also the opposite of the meaning (i.e. Knockout).
The production also refers to the intense inclusion of masks as part of our lives during the Covid-19 pandemic, when they protected, hid and decorated us at the same time.
