About the ensemble
Imre Bernath is a Hungarian street clown, visual comedian and acrobat whose performances combine interactive humour with breathtaking acrobatic elements. He began his career as an eight-year-old gymnastic talent and was selected for the junior national team at the age of twelve. He later became the national gymnastics champion in Hungary. At the age of 19, he was accepted into Cirque du Soleil's artistic development program in Montreal and subsequently performed in their production of "The Midnight Sun". He studied clowning and bouffon with Master Philippe Gaulier in Paris. Imre has performed in 37 countries on five continents and appears regularly in London's Covent Garden.
