About the ensemble

The four theatres, led by the Irregular Theatre Ensemble (SK) , created a joint international street production CIRCUS CARAVANA aimed at bringing local V4 citizens closer to refugees from Ukraine. ICEBREAKING is a non-verbal movement-visual expression of social inclusion that tells the stories of people in mixed communities through theatre. Theatre that breaks down prejudices, shows the benefits of global coexistence and brings people together.

About the show

International street theatre without words tells the stories of new neighbours

There is war at home, the circus has broken up, the performers are scattered abroad. What are the fates of the members of the circus family who are looking for a new place to live and a new mania in Europe? What kind of inhabitants do they meet in the V4 countries? Will they manage to put down roots again?

A music-visual-movement performance by a creative team of four theatres brings a unique socially inclusive theatre about bringing V4 citizens and refugees from Ukraine closer together. The problem of refugees and (non-)acceptance of refugees is in the air. Prejudices inflate it, contaminate the air, weigh it down and create gaps between people.

In the form of a circus and grotesque, the production ventilates inflated barriers, pumps up humanity, resuscitates dreams and hopes for a tolerant future. Or is it just a utopian bubble?
