About the ensemble

Michaela Stará brings to the stage a precise fusion of dance, physical theater, and object manipulation. Her greatest strength is her ability to find unexpected poetry and rhythm in the most ordinary, everyday situations. With ease and subtle humor, she manages to craft a complex theatrical experience out of ordinary daily routines—without uttering a single word. She is exactly the kind of performer who will convince you that even the most ordinary objects and sounds around us have a secret life of their own.

About the production

Thin walls, the Sunday sound of frying cutlets, morning vacuuming, or muffled footsteps one floor up. The solo dance-theater performance *Od vedle!* takes these familiar sounds of apartment life and transforms them into an immersive 40-minute show. Michaela Stará brings the sounds from behind the wall to life, transforming them into a playful and absurd exploration of life in a housing estate.
Precise dance meets physical acting and rhythmic work with everyday objects. The result is a humorous and deeply human insight into the world of a person who is never truly alone, even when locked away in their own living room. This nonverbal, accessible production with original music is sure to entertain audiences ages six and up. Come discover that even ordinary neighborhood life can have absolutely brilliant choreography.
