About the ensemble

Petr Píša is a Renaissance man with an exceptionally varied background. He originally trained in a technical field as a textile machine setter. He later switched to blacksmithing, which he took up entirely on his own. At the same time, he had been involved in music since childhood, playing in brass bands; after the revolution, he began teaching children to play the trumpet and founded a children’s orchestra and the Tančírna Třešť project in his hometown of Třešť. He is also the founder of the swing orchestra Zatrestband.
Furthermore, his artistic career has been closely intertwined with the Forman Brothers’ Theater. For many years, he played in their legendary Obludárium, participated in the theater ship Tajemství with the performance Nachové plachty, and at the National Theater, he portrayed the solo role of the Lawyer in the production Dobře placená procházka, directed by Miloš Forman. His workshop has also produced unique objects, such as the musical ORCHESTRoj or the giant puppet created for the opening ceremony of the Plzeň 2015 project

About the production

After dark, the street comes alive to a rhythm you wouldn’t expect from raw metal. Petr Píša brings a monumental wrought-iron colossus in the form of an angelic figure with giant outstretched wings. This steel giant will tower high above the crowd with incredible grace, transforming the familiar urban landscape into a mysterious stage.
Right before your eyes, a kinetic marvel will come to life, with a swing carrying a live performer suspended from its arm. It is raw, industrial poetry, where the brute force of iron meets the fragility of the human body in an immersive visual spectacle. Let yourself be enchanted by a walking angel who transforms the nighttime city into a dreamlike, somewhat steampunk landscape.
