About the band
Střídmí klusáci v kulisách višní (The Modest Trotters in the Cherry Tree Backdrop) is a Prague-based musical group that combines music, theater, poetry, and stand-up comedy. The band consists of four prominent figures from the Czech cultural scene:
Jakub Folvarčný (Jakub Foll) – director, actor, improviser, singer, and songwriter, two-time winner of the national Slam Poetry competition.
David Hlaváč – composer, arranger, and keyboard player, graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in composition and conducting.
Václav Jelínek – herec, žonglér, zpěvák a kytarista, člen žonglérského dua Bratři v tricku, které vzniklo v roce 2009 a specializuje se na propojování technicky náročného žonglování s pohybem a výrazem.
Jan Moc (Mcí Mocík) – singer, multi-instrumentalist, and multi-father. (
Their concerts are known for their ability to transform any situation into a place where you want to be at that moment. They play original songs and talk between them, combining music with theater, poetry, and stand-up comedy.
The band has performed at various venues, including Kampus Hybernská in Prague and Malostranská beseda, and now, after many years, they are returning to our festival.
