About the ensemble
The duo Tiny Tall Tales, formed by Anita Gröbl and Richard Kimberley, combines music with theatre. Their performances are described as intimate and playful, combining elements of folk, swing and Balkan music. With their extensive background in clown and physical theatre, they are able to create a unique atmosphere that draws the audience into the present moment through the sharing of beloved songs and stories of love and separation.
Richard Kimberley has extensive experience in physical theatre, clowning and mask theatre. He has studied at renowned schools such as École Philippe Gaulier in France and has worked as a teaching assistant. He is also the artistic director and programmer of the Gut Alaune festival in Germany.
Anita Gröbl is an Austrian artist who collaborates with Richard Kimberley on the project Tiny Tall Tales. Together they have performed at various festivals, including the Kavč Festival in Slovenia and the Nekropolis International Puppetry and Music Festival in Prague.
