About the ensemble
For them, gravity is more of a casual suggestion. Tripotes la Compagnie is a young Spanish-Swiss collective that has made Brussels its home and found common ground at the prestigious ESAC circus school. It was there that they realized walking on the ground is actually a bit boring, and they gradually became masters of the teeterboard and partner acrobatics. This artistic quartet has infectious energy and lightness encoded in their DNA, with which they effortlessly defy the laws of physics. Where others see a risky fall, they find space for a perfect flight.
About the production
You know those rushed “Kiss & Ride” zones where you barely have time to give a goodbye kiss before you have to dash off? Tripotes la Compagnie is breaking that routine and turning it into a more carefree “Kiss & Fly.” But don’t expect any tedious airport check-in procedures. Four acrobats will burst onto the festival pavement on a single tricycle, unfurl a teeterboard, and before you can blink, human towers will be soaring above your heads.
Feel free to miss your connection, look up from your screens, and watch as gravity is completely defied on an ordinary stretch of asphalt. Bodies glide through the air with incredible ease and fall into the void, while you’ll be on the edge of your seat, wondering if the flying acrobat will land safely in their partner’s arms. Every jump here is a total acrobatic gamble, but trust us—this daring game with gravity is definitely worth the bated breath!
