About the creation
Various puppets that regularly take part in the Velvet Festival parades in Prague, City Festivals and other cultural events in the Czech Republic and abroad will come to Prague.
Josef Koblic is an artistic carver, graduate of creative pedagogy at the DAMU in Prague, visual artist, restorer, teacher, performer, actor, mentor of creativity in SPKV. Since 2014, he has been the head of the arts and crafts workshops and one of the main figures of the artistic political-satirical parade Velvet Dawn, which on November 17th traditionally accompanies mainly non-profit organizations together with students and others through the streets of Prague. Its main domain are luminous objects of sculpture and larger-than-life puppets.
Martina Koblic Walterová is an artist, painter. She graduated from the studio of Painting I at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the OU in 2013 under Prof. D. Balabán. In addition to her free work (she has had many solo and group exhibitions and happenings), she has been co-creating the satirical parade Velvet Dawn for many years. Together with Josef, she is engaged in the production of luminous oversized puppets and objects under the brand Tvorba La Bulba.
